RICS Highly Commends the Living Systems Institute (12th May 2017)

Siniat would like to congratulate the team behind the design and construction of the Living Systems Institute for the University of Exeter. Honoured last night at the RICS 2017 Awards South West in the category of Design through Innovation.

The seven-storey 7,500m2 Living Institute Building has been designed as research practice and will house 29 different research groups who have expertise in biosciences, medicine, physics, engineering, mathematics and computer science.

BAM Construction chose support from Siniat for the drylining with products such as Megadeco and Fireboard used to effectively create fire compartments and Y Guage metal to support the very heavy laboratory doors. Siniat also supplied Weather Defence and the internal drylining on the new South Devon University Technical College (UTC) in which the University of Exeter is a partner.
